Universal Cuff Sizing:
Small and Large 25mm Wide Webbing – for eating utensils, writing tools and a stylus pen.
Large 30mm Wide Webbing – for larger utensils/ tools such as a toothbrush etc.
- The Universal Cuff is made with high quality materials and an industrial bartack stitch machine, ensuring it is durable and reliable.
- The material of the Universal Cuff is Polypropylene Webbing. This material repels water, is easier to clean and is more mildew resistant than nylon webbing. The comfortable strap keeps the cuff secured onto the hand.
- The Universal Cuff is adjustable due to the hook and loop Velcro®. If swelling in the hand fluctuates, the cuff will always fit due to its adjustable nature.
- We have designed the cuff with a metal D-Ring at the end of the strap for easy closure and adjustment. Users can hook the D-ring onto their finger when donning and doffing if they have limitepoor grip. Metal fittings ensure durability.
- The Universal Cuff is suitable for both the left and the right hand.
- The pouch for the item is on the palmer aspect of the hand. Utensils fit easily into the pouch. Unfortunately, we do not sell the utensils/ tools with the cuff.
- It is advisable to have separate cuffs for eating, for hygiene related tasks and for other tasks which do not involve liquid substances; as this prevents the spread of any potential bacteria.
- Black is the only colour available until further notice.
- Each package includes instructions for the user.
- Universal Cuffs are great for conditions such as: Cerebral Palsy, Hand Injuries, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), Parkinson’s Disease, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Multiple Sclerosis etc.
- Patients usually progress from the Universal Cuff to the Built-Up Handle if grip strength is initially poor; so also have a look at our Built-Up Handles here before ordering!
