It is estimated that over one billion people need one or more Assistive Devices; however only around 10% have access to them.
THE WORLD HEALTH ORGANISATION

This is a heartbreaking statistic that …For Good Hope strives to change!
We do not import ANY of our products! We source all raw materials locally, from South African businesses and factories. Thereafter, we manufacture products either in our in-house studio or in various factories in KZN, depending on the machinery needed. We strive to source the cheapest raw materials as possible whilst not compromising on the quality of the product. This ensures the products are more affordable and accessible. We hope that this little business can solve the barriers that we have faced with purchasing Assistive Devices in the past.
The benefits of Assistive Devices goes far beyond participation in an activity and an individual’s independence. They provide means for productivity, provide a person with dignity, enable individuals to hold jobs, to participate in education and to become an involved community member. As a result of these short term benefits, Assistive Devices can help reduce the need for ongoing hospital visits and caregivers; as well as help to increase their contribution to society and the labour force. This ensures that these individuals are less of a burden to society and their families.
Thank you for considering an Assistive Device for you, for your patient, or for a family member. You are changing statistics!
View and Download our Assistive Device Catalogue below. You may wish to send it to a colleague or client, or to motivate for funding. The catalogue includes information about all of our Assistive Devices.
If you would like to film or photograph patients, it is imperative that they sign a consent form! We have compiled a consent form in English and Zulu for easy download below. We would love for you to film your patients with our products in use in order to feature on our Social Media pages. However, please remember to follow HPCSA Guidelines (patient should not be identifiable by the photograph/ video shared).
